Mission Statement:
The mission of the ISM-New York Supplier Diversity Committee is to motivate, educate and provide guidance to ISM-New York members on supplier diversity issues and initiatives.
All members of ISM-New York who share an interest in promoting supplier diversity, regardless of the status of an "official" corporate program, are invited to participate.
Committee Meetings:
The Supplier Diversity Committee meetings are scheduled every 2 months and open to all ISM-New York members. Meetings are held during the ISM-New York calendar year in September, November, January, March, May and July and at venues sponsored by members. Supplier Diversity Education
ISM-New York conducts an annual a one-day seminar entitled, "Supplier Diversity - A Purchasing Perspective." This seminar is designed to provide tools to enable purchasing and supply management professionals to develop or enhance supplier diversity programs in their organizations. Supplier Diversity Website
This subcommittee manages and updates content on the ISM-New York website, publishing ISM-New York studies, information about programs on supplier diversity and useful resources on supplier diversity.
Supplier Diversity Surveys and Measurement
ISM-New York is committed to sharing meaningful information to its members and the local community. This subcommittee is responsible for conducting research or surveys on supplier diversity topics such as current trends and best-in-class supplier diversity programs.
Supplier Diversity Annual Dinner Planning
The activities of the committee culminate with the annual supplier diversity dinner scheduled every February. This subcommittee develops the annual theme, agenda and other events planning details.
Supplier Diversity Expo
The exclusive expo event allows member corporations and certified supplier diversity vendors to meet for potential new business opportunities. The subcommittee organizes this annual event currently held in April. View the results of the Corporate Representatives Questionnaire from the 2010 Expo.
